Brad Pitt’s 'biggest regret' after Angelina Jolie divorce revealed
Hollywood star Brad Pitt, 61, is reportedly struggling with personal regrets even as he moves forward from his years-long, high-profile divorce from Angelina Jolie.
According to a source quoted by Us Weekly, the actor is still haunted by what he calls his "biggest regret" – the irreparable damage to his relationship with his six children.
“The divorce is something that has been controlling his life for so many years,” the insider shared. “He loved her, and he knows he made mistakes.”
Pitt and Jolie’s separation began in 2016, following a now-infamous private jet incident, and concluded only recently after nearly eight years of legal battles.
Despite finding some closure with the finalisation of the divorce, Pitt is said to be grappling with the emotional toll it took on his family life. The couple’s children – Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne – have reportedly grown distant, with several dropping his surname publicly.
His daughter Shiloh filed to remove “Pitt” from her name last year, while Zahara and Vivienne have also been seen using only “Jolie.” Pitt’s relationship with his older sons, Maddox and Pax, is described as especially strained.
Though the Oscar winner continues to see his underage twins as part of the custody agreement, sources claim he rarely has contact with the adult children. "The case is over, but there are no winners," one insider said.
Since the split, Pitt has taken major steps toward personal growth, including quitting alcohol and focusing on his sobriety. Friends say this transformation has helped him find balance, but the lasting impact of the divorce, especially his fractured family, is something he will carry with him.
Meanwhile, Pitt has moved on romantically and is currently dating Ines de Ramon, 32. The two have been spotted together frequently, including in London last month. Pitt, however, maintains that life “just evolves,” and he no longer calculates his moves for the public eye.
