Lahore Police swiftly rescue kidnapped infant despite Muharram security duties

In a remarkable display of efficiency and commitment, Lahore Police recovered a six-month-old kidnapped child within hours, despite being on high-alert duty for Muharram security, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Saturday.

The child, Faizan, was abducted late last night from Shadiwal Pind in the Hanjarwal area by an unidentified woman.

The incident immediately drew the attention of DIG Operations Faisal Kamran, who formed a special team to ensure the child’s safe recovery.

Using CCTV footage and support from the Safe City Authority, the police tracked the suspect and successfully recovered the child from Johar Town after a high-pressure, all-night operation. Three suspects have been taken into custody, while further investigations and arrests are underway.

DIG Faisal Kamran personally monitored the entire rescue operation and later handed the child over to his grateful parents, who lauded the Lahore Police for their swift and professional response.

The operation has drawn praise from all quarters, especially given the heavy deployment of police resources for Muharram-related duties. SHO Hanjarwal and his team were particularly commended for their dedication and effectiveness.
