Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday dismissed the rumours about President Asif Ali Zardari’s removal from the Presidency.

Responding to a reporter’s question during his visit to the Rohri area of Sindh, Naqvi advised the media not pay attention to social media reports. He said that such reports were being circulated by the people who want to remove the incumbent rulers.

Also on this occasion, the interior minister said the government was working to eliminate dacoits from Sindh and Punjab and this task would be accomplished within two months. He said that terrorists were eliminated from Wana and South Waziristan by the incumbent government.

Commenting on processions on 9th and 10th of Muharram, Naqvi said that 2,700 mourning processions were taken out and more than 10,000 Majalis (religious gatherings) were held across the country on 9th Muharram.

He said that Pakistan’s largest mourning procession is taken out in Rohri. He said that more than one million people participate in the Shama Gul Ta’azia procession. He said the local administration makes elaborate arrangements for the participants of this procession.
