Reacting to the participation of hordes of people in the funeral prayers for the martyred Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei, US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that he was surprised to see such a large crowd weeping and crying for the late leader. “I thought the people of Iran hated him,” he said, adding, “Had the US wished, it could have decimated all those people who were present at the funeral. However, we could not do that because in that case, nobody would have survived for the talks.”
The US president said that both the US and Iran had agreed on a temporary pause in talks.
He said that Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu knew fully well that who was the boss.
