Punjab govt receives proposal to allocate Rs100m each to PML-N MNAs, ex-MPAs

The Punjab CM House has received recommendations regarding awarding of development funds to the tune of Rs100 million each to the PML-N ticket holders, its former members of Punjab Assembly and current members of the National Assembly in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The CM House has received recommendations from the district administration which proposes to include the development schemes in the budget.

The district administration has recommended to give Rs2 billion to Lahore’s constituencies of the PML-N members and each PML-N MNA and ex-MPA should be awarded Rs100 million.

Besides them, each PML-N ticket holder should also be given Rs100 million grant.

The CM House has sought recommendations from the district administration regarding development projects in different areas of Lahore.

Sources said that the caretaker government would take final decision on the recommendations made for the release of development funds.

According to the law, new development schemes cannot be included in the provincial budget of four months as elections are due in October.
