Rs15m robbery in Sukkur vegetable market sparks outrage ahead of Eid

In a brazen daylight heist, four armed robbers looted Rs 1.5 crore and multiple mobile phones from a vegetable trader in Sukkur’s largest vegetable market, triggering panic and anger among the local business community, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.

The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Site Police Station, where trader Haji Alamgir Qureshi's shop was specifically targeted.

According to witnesses and fellow traders, the suspects carried out the robbery at gunpoint and fled the scene, abandoning one of their motorcycles, which has been taken into police custody.

Trader Salahuddin Qureshi confirmed that the robbers escaped with millions in cash, leaving traders feeling vulnerable and furious just days before Eid.

"If the stolen money isn’t recovered before Eid, we’ll launch a strong protest," warned a local trader leader.
