Liam Livingstone reveals why Virat Kohli shifted base from India to London

England cricketer Liam Livingstone has said that former India captain Virat Kohli moved his base from India to London to escape constant public attention and live a more private and peaceful life, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.

In a recent interview, Livingstone, who has played alongside Kohli at the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru, described Kohli as a calm, family-oriented, and friendly person off the field, but highly aggressive and competitive once he steps onto the cricket ground.

He said Kohli was never comfortable with the intense spotlight and celebrity culture in India, where he was constantly followed by fans and media attention.

“Virat prefers a quieter environment where he is not constantly watched and can move around freely,” Livingstone said, adding that the former India skipper values privacy and a normal lifestyle away from public pressure.

According to Livingstone, Kohli enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, and living a more relaxed life, rather than being confined by the demands of fame.

He further noted that every movement of Kohli was closely monitored by cameras and the public, which placed him under continuous scrutiny.

Livingstone added that this constant attention became one of the key reasons behind Kohli’s decision to relocate abroad following the birth of his daughter.

Kohli is now based in London with his wife, actor Anushka Sharma, and their children, where he is believed to be living a more private family life while continuing his professional cricket commitments.
