Momina Iqbal lodges PECA case against Punjab MPA over harassment

Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal has filed a complaint under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), leading to the registration of a case against Punjab Assembly member Saqib Chadhar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the FIR lodged with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), Momina alleged that Saqib Chadhar, his wife Sameera Khan and several associates were involved in cyber harassment, blackmail and unlawful surveillance.

The complaint further states that the actress and her family members were allegedly subjected to threats during the course of the dispute.

According to the FIR, the accused individuals allegedly continued to obtain information related to Momina Iqbal and monitor aspects of her private life without her consent.

Momina also claimed that she declined a marriage proposal after learning that Saqib Chadhar was already married. Following her refusal, she alleged that she was subjected to harassment and blackmail.

The FIR further alleges that private videos were used in an attempt to pressure the actress after she rejected the proposal.

In her complaint, Momina also claimed that false allegations were made against her in 2023, which she says contributed to the breakdown of a prospective marriage arrangement.
