Punjab cabinet approves issuing driving licences to 16-year-olds

The Punjab cabinet has approved issuing driving licences to 16-year-olds, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
After the cabinet approval, the Home Department has sent a gazette notification for issuing driving licenses to aged 16-year.
The Law Department will issue this gazette notification on Monday.
A 16-year-old child will only be able to ride a motorcycle and he will be able to seat only one passenger behind the motorcycle.
A 16-year-old child will not be allowed to ride a motorcycle rickshaw after getting a driving license.
The home department sent this approval to the law department.
