Several schools, colleges sealed in Lahore and Islamabad due to corona cases

A number of colleges and schools in Lahore as wells as Islamabad have reported a sudden surge in the number of coronavirus cases after which several of them were sealed by the authorities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
As many as 28 coronavirus pandemic cases have been reported from Lahore schools ever since their reopening on January 15 after winter vacations, showing a surge in the number of these cases.
According to the School Education Authority, so far 15 students, 12 teachers and one person belonging to non-teaching staff have tested positive for the coronavirus, while five government schools were closed for seven days when cases of the pandemic were reported from there.
The Authority further said that coronavirus tests are being conducted in phases.
Colleges sealed in Islamabad
Two educational institutions were sealed in Islamabad after coronavirus cases detected there.
Model College F-7 was sealed after detection of seven Covid-19 cases while Model College for Boys I-10 was shut down after three people were tested positive there.
