Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Senator Sirajul Haq has assured PDM candidate and former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani of support in the election for Senate chairman, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sirajul Haq telephoned Gilani on Friday and congratulated him on his election as a senator from Islamabad.

It may be mentioned here that the Jamaat-i-Islami boycotted the voting for Senate elections in the National Assembly on Wednesday last.
