Azerbaijan Ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov called on Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at his chamber.

Matters of mutual interest and the promotion of bilateral cooperation came under discussion during the meeting. Pakistan values its ties with Azerbaijan. The two countries have cordial relations and we want Azerbaijan to be included in the Commonwealth countries.

the exchange of high-level delegations from both sides would further strengthen the ties. Parvez Elahi appreciated the role of the Azerbaijan envoy in promoting the relations between the two countries.

Azerbaijani Ambassador Khazar Farhadov heaped praise on Pakistan for its peace efforts. He said that Azerbaijan was keen to further expand relations with Pakistan, adding that the government and people of Azerbaijan were grateful for the support of the government of Pakistan on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

The ambassador also took a round of the assembly. Punjab Assembly Secretary Muhammad Khan Bhatti, Secretary Coordination Rai Mumtaz Hussain Babar, and DG Parliamentary Affairs Inayatullah Lak were also present.
