Senior PPP leader Khursheed Shah has reached Islamabad on a special mission assigned to him by the party chairman, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Mr Shah who was taking part in the PPP Awami March reached the federal capital after leaving it on Saturday. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has given Mr Shah a special assignment regarding no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The PPP long march which has entered Punjab from Sindh will culminate at Islamabad on March 8.
While talking to media after his arrival in Islamabad, Mr Shah said that the PPP long march was not against the government. Rather it is against Imran Khan only, he added. He said that before tabling the no-confidence move, the opposition would submit a requisition for summoning the assembly session.
“Soon after the submission of requisition, we will submit a no-trust motion against the prime minister,” Mr Shah informed.
The PPP stalwart was of the view that the PTI people themselves were wary of Imran Khan.
He further said that he was damn sure that Imran Khan would never let his party to be ‘hijacked’ by the PML-Q.
“Imran had not agreed to give chief ministership to PML-Q leader Pervaiz Elahi, how can he let them highjack his party,” he concluded.
