Kane Williamson confident ahead of Champions Trophy final against India
Former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson expressed his excitement ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy final, emphasizing the team’s preparedness for the highly anticipated clash against India in Dubai.
Addressing a post-match press conference, Williamson praised South Africa’s bowling attack, acknowledging the challenge they posed in the semi-final.
“South Africa has a strong bowling unit, and I always enjoy playing against them,” he added.
“The pitch and outfield were excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed playing on it,” Williamson remarked.
He also praised the efforts of young Rachin Ravindra, who has been instrumental in New Zealand’s campaign.
“Rachin is a talented and confident young player. He has performed exceptionally well, and I’m pleased with his growth,” Williamson noted.
Looking ahead to the final, he highlighted the different playing conditions in Dubai and the team’s approach to adapting accordingly.
“Every match presents different conditions, and we have to be prepared for them,” he said.
“Our goal is to put in a strong performance and secure victory in the final,” Williamson affirmed.
“We have played in Dubai before, and we understand the conditions well. This time, we will enter the match with a slightly different strategy,” he stated.
