Law Minister Tarar launches ‘Wakeel Online’ app to help poor complainants
Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar has launched ‘Wakeel Online’ in Islamabad to help those who cannot afford legal fees will be able to seek assistance through this platform, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar claimed that efforts to provide legal assistance to millions of Pakistanis began in 2020. He noted that legal procedures are now less complicated than before. Around 700,000 people in Pakistan are already aware of the Wakeel Online app.
1,000 lawyers have registered on the app, with many more undergoing a screening process.
German Ambassador Alfred Grannas also addressed the event, stating that Wakeel Online has transitioned from a project to a fully operational app. He expressed optimism that the app will offer effective legal support to litigants and prove beneficial in the future.
