Several federal bureaucrats promoted to Grade 22

The High-Powered Selection Board has approved the promotion of several senior federal officers from Grade 21 to Grade 22, marking a significant reshuffle in the country's bureaucratic landscape.

A total of 19 officers from the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) have been promoted. Among them are Federal Secretary Education Mohiuddin Ahmed Wani, Wasim Ajmal Chaudhry, Ambrain Raza, Usman Akhtar Bajwa, Muhammad Hameer Karim, Syed Atta-ur-Rehman, Mosaddiq Ahmed Khan, and Ali Tahir.

Additionally, Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Rashid Mahmood and Momin Agha have also been elevated to Grade 22. The board further approved the promotions of Secretary Health Nadeem Mehboob, Shakeel Ahmed Mangejo, Dawood Muhammad Barij, Sadia Sarwat Javed, and Asad Rehman Gilani.

Ali Sarfaraz and Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman have also moved up to Grade 22, along with Nabil Ahmed Awan and Ahmed Raza Sarwar.

In the Foreign Service of Pakistan, nine senior officers have been promoted to Grade 22, including Asim Iftikhar Ahmed, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, Ahmed Naseem Warraich, Ahsan Raza Shah, Saqlain Syed, Nabil Munir, Shafqat Ali Khan, and Faisal Niaz.

The High-Powered Selection Board, which had not convened for the past two years, met under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister to finalize these promotions. The move is expected to enhance administrative efficiency and governance at the federal level.
