Cruz Beckham pays tribute to dad David Beckham during Manchester show

Former football superstar David Beckham proudly supported his son Cruz Beckham during a music performance in Manchester, even as reports suggested that family tensions with eldest son Brooklyn Beckham remain unresolved following his recent birthday controversy.

The 50 year old football legend attended a concert by Cruz’s band The Breakers at The Deaf Institute on Wednesday night.

Cruz, 21, performed on stage wearing a Manchester United jersey, a nod to his father’s iconic No.7 shirt during his celebrated football career.

David appeared delighted as he posed for photos alongside the band members and former United star Nicky Butt, who also attended the show.

Sharing the moment online, Beckham proudly wrote that the “United” spirit was out in force, referencing Cruz’s tribute to his famous shirt number.

While the evening focused on music and family pride, it unfolded against the backdrop of ongoing tension involving Brooklyn.

The 27 year old influencer reportedly felt disappointed after his parents publicly shared birthday tributes on social media, despite what sources describe as an agreement to keep communication private following their long-running fallout.

Brooklyn, who now lives in the United States with his wife Nicola Peltz, spent his birthday celebrating with her instead.

The actress shared affectionate messages and videos online, including a surprise celebration featuring personalised cakes and gifts.

According to reports, Brooklyn only responded publicly to Nicola’s message, thanking her for the heartfelt tribute while ignoring birthday wishes posted by his parents David Beckham and Victoria Beckham.

His siblings, including Romeo Beckham and Cruz, also shared nostalgic childhood photos to mark the occasion.

The family tension follows a lengthy statement Brooklyn released earlier this year in which he accused his parents of prioritising public image over private relationships and claimed he no longer wished to reconcile.

Despite the ongoing rift, David appeared focused on supporting Cruz’s music career, cheering him on as the young performer continues touring with his band across the UK.
