Fazila Qazi gets real about joint family life
Senior artist Fazila Qazi has shared her candid views on the joint family system during a morning show appearance.
She revealed why her once idealistic dream of living in a joint family after marriage eventually changed with time and real life experiences.
During the show, Fazila Qazi shared that she always imagined herself living in a large joint family setup after getting married.
The actress said she believed such an environment would be filled with warmth, laughter and strong family bonds, where everyone would happily live together.
However, her perspective shifted as she grew older and observed the realities of family dynamics.
Fazila Qazi admitted that she eventually realized her dream was based more on imagination than practicality.
Fazila explained that while one person may enter a family with sincere intentions and love, others in the household may be dealing with completely different emotional or financial pressures.
According to Fazila Qazi, financial stress often becomes one of the biggest reasons behind tension in joint families.
She explained that when resources are limited, even small matters can create conflict.
While explaining her point, the actress gave an example of how financial strain can make family members notice even minor things, such as someone eating two eggs instead of one.
She also reflected on how times have changed. Fazila Qazi shared that older generations often managed to live together because relationships were built on patience, mutual respect and understanding.
The host also joined the discussion by mentioning that families in earlier times experienced more “barkat,” where limited income still seemed enough to support larger households.
Fazila Qazi has remained a respected name in Pakistan’s entertainment industry for decades and is recognized for her performances in dramas such as Rozi, Kashish, Zindagi Gulzar Hai and Tere Bin.
Married to fellow actor Kaiser Khan Nizamani, she continues to connect with audiences through both her acting work and candid public appearances.
