Gold price takes another plunge in Pakistan

The prices of gold decreased in the local market on Tuesday, with 24-karat gold per-tola rate falling by Rs2,100 to settle at Rs477,862 compared to Rs479,962 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold declined by Rs1,801 to Rs409,689 from Rs411,490, whereas 10 grams of 22-karat gold went down by Rs1,651 to Rs375,561 against Rs377,212.

In the international market, the price of gold decreased by $21 to $4,555 per ounce from $4,576.

Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola decreased by Rs65 to Rs7,849 from Rs7,914, while the price of 10 grams of silver also fell by Rs55 to Rs6,729 from Rs6,784.

The price of silver in the international market decreased by $0.65 to $73.65 per ounce from $74.30.
