IHC summons superintendent of Adiala Jail in Bushra Bibi meeting case
The Islamabad High Court has summoned the superintendent of Adiala Jail in a case seeking permission for family and a personal doctor to meet Bushra Bibi, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.
According to a written court order, Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir directed the jail superintendent to appear before the court at the next hearing scheduled for May 6.
The court also issued notices to the superintendent and the Inspector General of Prisons, Punjab, seeking their responses.
The order came on a petition filed by Bushra Bibi’s daughter, requesting an immediate family meeting.
The petition also sought permission for her personal physician to examine her, as well as the provision of clothes and other necessary items.
The court directed all parties to submit their replies and fixed May 6 for further proceedings.
