One dies as Pindi hospital guards protest non-payment of salaries

A security guard died due to cardiac arrest during protest of security guards of Allied Hospitals in Rawalpindi against non-payment of salaries for several months, on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Due to the protest, traffic on Murree Road was suspended and partial blockage was also created at the entrances of the hospital. 

The protesters raised slogans in protest against non-payment of salaries and also raised slogans against PML-N leader Ziaullah Shah. 

They said that due to non-payment of salaries for several months, it has become difficult to meet household expenses and their patience has paid off.

A private company called Scramble is receiving Rs40,000 to Rs45,000 from the hospital administration in the name of each security guard while the security guards are getting a salary of Rs25000 and around Rs22000 after deduction in the salary for the leave, protesters said.

Protesters demand the Chief Minister of Punjab to ban the company of League leader Ziaullah Shah.
