The resolution was confirmed through a joint statement shared on Instagram, stating that the matter had been addressed through formal legal engagement and concluded via mediation bringing an end to a controversy that had dominated social media discussions and sparked widespread debate.

According to the agreement, Mahnoor Rahim has removed all previously shared posts and statements related to the controversy from the public domain. In response, Umer Mukhtar has withdrawn all legal proceedings initiated against her.

The settlement was reached “in good faith” and explicitly “without admission of liability,” a key legal phrase indicating that while the matter has been resolved, neither party has formally accepted wrongdoing.

The joint statement also highlighted the role of legal representatives from both sides, confirming that the resolution came after formal engagement and negotiation rather than prolonged courtroom proceedings.

While she initially did not name the individual, she later identified Umer Mukhtar in a follow-up post, drawing widespread attention online. The situation escalated after Mukhtar’s legal team issued a defamation notice, demanding the removal of content and warning of legal consequences.

Mahnoor responded through legal counsel, maintaining that her statements were made in good faith and in the public interest, and stating that she possessed supporting evidence.

The issue soon expanded beyond a personal dispute, raising broader questions about accountability and professional boundaries within the entertainment industry.

The controversy also drew in Hania Aamir, after Mahnoor questioned her association with Mukhtar in light of her public advocacy role. Hania later addressed the situation, distancing herself from the claims and urging the public to verify information before accepting it as fact.
