Prime Minister Imran Khan is all set to visit Karachi, the capital of Sindh struggling for rebuilding from recent ruinous rains.

Federal ministers and officials of the disaster management department will accompany the premier who is scheduled to announce a special package for the province being ruled by the opposition party.

The grants would be spent on rehabilitation after rain, uninterrupted power supply, drainage, cleanliness, transport, irrigation etc.

Authorities have prepared the Karachi Transportation Plan, claimed to be, a solution to major problems plaguing the capital city.

PM Imran has already said Karachi's issues were primarily due to divided administrative powers. The premier will meet Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Governor Imran Ismail as well as local businessmen and leaders. Tour of the Karachi Stock Exchange is also on his list.

Talking to media, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said he hoped that PM  Khan will arrive with rehabilitation, reconstruction and relief plans.

He said disastrous downpour followed by COVID-19 outbreak left the people of Sindh in the lurch, though the ruling party team are in action to provide them with relief.
