Bilawal receives briefing on destruction caused by floods in Kasur

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday visited the flood-hit Kasur district of Punjab.

Speaking to administrative officer, he said, “If there has been such a large-scale damage to agriculture, then the farmers of Punjab definitely deserve some compensation. After this, there will be a phase of reconstruction and rehabilitation, where schools that are currently being used as relief camps, will also need to be restored. Similarly, all the villages that have submerged will need support and assistance. All this work is not possible without the help of the federal government.”

Bilawal added, “I will talk to the federal and provincial governments regarding other options for the rehabilitation of flood-affected people in Punjab.”
