Rangers arrest notorious criminal ‘Munna Dancer’ in Karachi’s Machar Colony

Pakistan Rangers Sindh carried out a successful operation in Machar Colony, arresting a notorious criminal identified as Muhammad Noor alias Munna Dancer, officials said on Friday.

According to Rangers, foreign currency and a mobile phone were recovered from the accused, who has a long history of involvement in heinous crimes. Initial investigations revealed that Noor was wanted in multiple cases, including kidnapping for ransom, attempted murder, police encounters, and other violent crimes.

The accused recently attempted to kidnap a child, Rashid Buledi, on August 14, and was also involved in the abduction of a 19-year-old girl from Ibrahim Hyderi on August 1. During interrogation, he reportedly confessed to several serious incidents and admitted to being part of organised criminal activities in Karachi.

Authorities described Noor as a habitual offender, noting that he has been imprisoned several times but continued returning to criminal activities upon release.

Following his arrest, Rangers handed over the accused to the police for further legal proceedings. Officials said more arrests and follow-up raids are expected as investigations expand into Noor’s criminal network.
