Shocking truth behind Ranbir-Katrina Ibiza photo leak revealed

Bollywood’s infamous Ibiza photo controversy involving Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif has resurfaced after celebrity photographer Manav Manglani made a shocking revelation.

The viral beach photos from 2013, which showed the two stars holidaying together, were not clicked by fans or paparazzi but were instead leaked by someone close to the actors, Manglani has claimed.

The images had taken the internet by storm at the time, showing Katrina in a bikini and Ranbir in swim shorts. Though the duo never publicly confirmed their relationship back then, the photos sparked intense speculation about their romance and raised serious concerns over celebrity privacy.

Appearing on Kunickaa Sadanand’s podcast, Manav Manglani recalled covering Bollywood couples and dropping several exclusive scoops over the years.

He said that in the case of Ranbir and Katrina, the controversial pictures did not come from tourists or media photographers. Instead, they were deliberately leaked to the press by an insider.

“That was leaked by someone very close to them,” Manglani said, though he clarified that he does not know the exact source.

He added that the photos were bound to come out eventually, remarking, “Aaj nahi toh kal niklega hi niklega, ghar pe thodi affair karne waala hai.”

The Ibiza episode sparked a massive backlash against paparazzi culture at the time. Both Ranbir and Katrina expressed anger over the incident.

Katrina even penned an open letter criticising the invasion of her privacy, while Ranbir called it a “breach of trust” and urged the media to respect boundaries between public appearances and private life.

Manglani also revealed that he has been behind several viral celebrity couple photos, including Aditya Roy Kapur with Ananya Panday and the first-ever public spotting of Vicky Kaushal with Katrina Kaif.

While Ranbir Kapoor is now married to actress Alia Bhatt, with whom he shares a daughter, Katrina Kaif tied the knot with Vicky Kaushal in 2021.

The Ibiza controversy, however, remains one of Bollywood’s most talked-about leaks.
