CCI meeting to take up heavy agenda today

The long-delayed meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI) will be held in Islamabad on Wednesday (today) with a long list of issues on the agenda including the finalizing the results of the last census, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The CCI meeting will be attended by the four chief ministers and the relevant federal ministers.
According to sources, besides taking up the annual Nepra report, the meeting will also review the amendment in the Ogra Ordinance.
The participants will exchange views about issuing a notification regarding the final results of the population census.
The sources said the meeting will also discuss the setting up of the permanent CCI Secretariat and the progress on the implementation of the previous CCI decisions.
The affairs of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) following the 18th Amendment will also be discussed, the sources added.
