Katy Perry fans scan Toronto crowd for Justin Trudeau

Katy Perry fans were on high alert at the singer’s Toronto concert, hoping to catch a glimpse of former Canadian PM Justin Trudeau following the pair’s intimate dinner date in Montreal last month.

The 40-year-old pop star, who recently confirmed her split from fiancé Orlando Bloom, set tongues wagging when she was spotted dining closely with Trudeau, 53, in July,  just days before he was seen attending her Montreal show alongside his 16-year-old daughter Ella-Grace on July 30.

Although Trudeau made headlines for appearing completely mesmerised by Perry’s Montreal performance, even mouthing along to the lyrics of Dark Horse, he was nowhere to be seen in Toronto, much to the dismay of eager fans.

Social media buzzed with speculation over his potential appearance, with TikTok users sharing videos of a private box they believed he might be sitting in.
“Who wants to bet he’ll show up at the Toronto show???” one fan wrote, while another joked, “No Justin in sight!”

Others couldn’t resist weighing in on the brewing romance, with one fan quipping, “Bro must be DOWN BAD if he’s willing to go to a Lifetimes concert.”
“Imagine getting good seats at a concert and seeing a former head of state just vibing with his new girlfriend,” another added.

The speculation comes just weeks after Perry and Bloom confirmed their split after nearly a decade of an on-and-off relationship. The exes, who share a daughter, Daisy Dove, were recently spotted vacationing together in Italy,  but it’s the pop star’s new connection with Canada’s most eligible bachelor that’s stealing headlines.

Exclusive footage obtained by the Daily Mail showed Perry and Trudeau leaning in over dinner, sparking expert commentary on their body language.
“There are at least three non-verbal cues associated with flirting,” body language expert Judi James noted, pointing out their close proximity, Perry’s facial framing, and signs of mutual admiration.

“Katy even cups her face in a classic ‘look at me, I’m beautiful’ gesture,” James explained. “Meanwhile, her nods and smiles suggest undivided attention and flirtatious encouragement.”
