PM Shehbaz convenes cabinet meeting today to review security, economic situation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has convened an important meeting of the federal cabinet today to review the country's overall security, political and economic situation, sources said.

According to sources, the cabinet meeting will take stock of the prevailing regional situation and discuss a range of important national issues.

Sources said key decisions of national significance are expected to be taken during the meeting.

The law and order situation across the country is also likely to come under discussion, while the cabinet will be briefed on the country's internal security situation and the measures being taken to maintain peace and stability.

The meeting will also review the overall economic and political situation, according to the sources.

In addition, decisions taken by various cabinet committees will be presented before the federal cabinet for ratification.

Summaries submitted by different ministries and divisions will also be placed before the cabinet for approval.

Sources said the Cabinet Division has formally informed all cabinet members about the meeting.
