The Levies and Khasadar force locked the police stations in Bannu district Tuesday in protest for powers and privileges equal to the district police, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Khasadar force also refused to perform duty in the anti-polio campaign.

“Apart from Superintendent of Police (SP), other police officers should be appointed by the sub-division minister,” they demanded.

“In place of our circle officer, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) has been appointed from the district police,” they regretted.

“Our salaries are withheld due to minor mistakes, and we are suspended for raising voice. The district police also rob us of our funds and fuel,” they alleged.
