Punjab Bar Council suspends licenses of over 100 fake lawyers

Punjab Bar Council has launched a crackdown on fake lawyers and in this respect, Bar has suspended the licenses of more than one hundred fake lawyers. 

Moreover, Punjab Bar Council has ordered registration of FIRS against 427 fake lawyers. In a press statement, Punjab Bar Council Anti-Corruption Committee chairman said that degrees of over 80,000 lawyers were verified by universities and trials against 65 fake lawyers were underway. 

He said according to police records, 219 fake lawyers declared in cases. Anti-Corruption Committee chairman said there will be no concession against fake lawyers.
