The Islamabad High Court on Monday restrained the police from taking any legal action on cases registered against former interior minister and Awami Muslim League Chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmad in the Mochko and Lasbela police stations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The AML chief on Saturday submitted a petition to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to nullify cases filed against him in Murree and Karachi, along with orders to prevent the police from taking him to Karachi until a final decision on the case was announced.

Separately, the District and Sessions Court in Islamabad on Monday adjourned the hearing of the post-arrest bail petition of senior politician Sheikh Rashid until tomorrow.
Prosecutor Muhammad Adnan and the petitioner’s lawyer Muhammad Salman appeared before the court.
Muhammad Salman appealed to the court to grant him two days to prepare the case of his client.
Refusing to grant him two days, the court adjourned the case hearing until 12:30 pm tomorrow.
