Police find eyewitness of F-9 Park Islamabad rape case

February 6, 2023 09:11 PM

Islamabad Police Monday claimed that an eyewitness of the sad incident of gang rape of a woman in F-9 Park came fore and his revelation would help in capturing the culprits, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the police officials, the security guard of the park confirmed the entire incident. The guard told the police that around 8:30 pm on February 2, the woman entered into the park from the F-10 side along with a boy. He said that four people were following the couple. Two of them were armed with pistols. The two-armed accused showed up and held them hostage and moved them to a forested area of the park. However, the male companion of the woman managed to fly from the scene.

Pertinent to note that the capital police have failed so far to trace the alleged rapists despite claiming to have installed sophisticated cameras at every nook and corner under the Islamabad Safe City Project.

The two-armed men also physically assaulted the woman when she pleaded and asked them to let her go.

The incident has led to widespread outrage on social media as people expressed their shock over the despicable incident.
