Bushra Bibi prays court to shift her to Adiala Jail from Banigala
Bushra Bibi, wife of incarcerated PTI founder chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan, has urged the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to shift her to Adiala Jail from sub-jail at her home in Banigala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Bushra Bibi was awarded two jail sentences – 14 years in connection with Toshakhana case and seven years over illegal marriage.
She had court-arrested at the Adiala Jail after the Toshakhana verdict was announced but the authorities declared her Banigala residence as sub-jail and shifted her there.
Imran Khan’s wife has now moved the IHC, praying the court to order her shifting to Adial Jail and void the notification which declared her Banigala residence as sub-jail.

The Islamabad Chief Commissioner had issued the notification on January 31, 2023, declaring Banigala residence of Imran Khan as a sub-jail.
Bushra Bibi filed the petition in the IHC through lawyers Salman Safdar, Usman Gul and Khalid Chaudhry, pleading the court to transfer her to Adiala Jail as per the original order in Toshakhana case.
Bushra Bibi said she was given 14-year imprisonment in Toshakhana reference on January 31, 2023. “I reached Adiala jail and surrendered myself at the office of superintendent of the jail,” she added
In his plea, Bushra informed the court that the police instead of putting her in Adiala Jail took her to Banigala after declaring it as sub-jail. She contended that she did not make any such request to the administration.
