MBBS admissions in Punjab’s private medical colleges: UHS releases first selection list

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore has released the first selection list for admissions into private medical colleges across Punjab.

According to the announced merit list, the minimum merit for MBBS admissions stood at 79.7343%, which is the cutoff for Sahara Medical College in Narowal.

Sharif Medical and Dental College in Lahore recorded the highest closing merit at 92.8939%, followed closely by Al-Aleem Medical College, Lahore, at 92.6455%. Shalamar Medical and Dental College, Lahore, had a merit of 90.2227%, while FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry, Lahore, was at 89.9909%. Continental Medical College, Lahore, stood at 89.1818%, and Lahore Medical and Dental College, Lahore, recorded a merit of 88.7439%. Rahbar Medical and Dental College, Lahore, required a minimum merit of 87.7136%, whereas Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental College, Lahore, was at 87.3364%.

In Rawalpindi, Akhtar Saeed Medical College’s merit was 86.6318%. Rashid Latif Medical College, Lahore, was at 85.9460%, while Sialkot Medical College, Sialkot, had a cutoff of 85.4000%. Aziz Fatima Medical and Dental College, Faisalabad, required 84.9015%, and Multan Medical and Dental College, Multan, stood at 84.3818%.

Central Park Medical College, Lahore, set the merit at 84.2682%, while Watim Medical College, Rawalpindi, was at 83.8182%. The University College of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Lahore, had a merit of 83.5091%, followed by RLKU Medical and Dental College, Lahore, at 83.2091%. Avicenna Medical College, Lahore, required 82.6788%, and Islam Medical College, Sialkot, had a merit of 82.6727%. Bakhtawar Amin Medical and Dental College, Multan, followed closely with 82.6667%.

Other medical colleges included Pak Red Crescent Medical and Dental College, Kasur, at 82.1591%, and Abu Ummara Medical and Dental College, Lahore, at 81.9864%. Azra Naheed Medical and Dental College, Superior University, Lahore, set the merit at 81.9273%, while M. Islam Medical College, Gujranwala, was at 81.7829%. Independent Medical College, Faisalabad, recorded a merit of 80.9636%, and University Medical and Dental College, University of Faisalabad, was at 80.7182%.

Amina Inayat Medical College, Sheikhupura, required 80.5318%, while Abu Wa Medical College, Faisalabad, was at 80.2455%. Niazi Medical and Dental College, Sargodha, set the merit at 80.1591%, and Shahida Islam Medical College, Lodhran, followed closely with 80.1152%. Rai Medical College, Sargodha, had a cutoff of 79.7909%, and finally, Sahara Medical College, Narowal, had the lowest at 79.7343%.

A total of 4,150 seats have been allocated for MBBS across 32 private medical colleges in Punjab. Selected candidates must submit their fees by February 11. They are advised to submit their dues to their respective colleges and provide a formal written joining by February 11, 2025, failing which their admission will be cancelled.
