Soldier martyred, 12 militants killed in North Waziristan operation

Security forces killed 12 militants in an intelligence based operation in general area Hassan Khel, North Waziristan District, on Wednesday night.

According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lance Naik Muhammad Ibrahim (34, a resident of District Hangu) fought gallantly and embraced martyrdom during the operation.

Weapons and ammunition were also seized from the killed militants, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as target killing of innocent civilians.

A sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any remaining militants in the area.
