Year’s first polio eradication campaign enters 5th day across Pakistan
The first national polio eradication campaign of 2026 is successfully continuing for the fifth day across the country on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the National Emergency Operation Center, more than 42.2 million children have been vaccinated against polio in the first four days across the country.
Over 22.4 million children have been vaccinated against polio in Punjab.
Over 9.5 million 85 thousand children have been vaccinated against polio in Sindh.
Over 6.7 million children have been vaccinated against polio in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
About 2 million children have been vaccinated against polio in Balochistan.
Over 454000 children have been vaccinated against polio in Islamabad.
Over 261000 children have been vaccinated against polio in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Over 673,000 children have been vaccinated against polio in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
More than 400,000 polio workers are going door to door to administer polio drops to children.
Open doors for polio workers and make sure your children get polio drops.
Parents and community are urged to fully cooperate with polio workers.
Every child under the age of five should be given polio drops.
