Fog again disrupted vehicular movement on Friday closing several sections of the motorway, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The Lahore-Multan Motorway was closed from Faizpur to Rijana due to dense fog. The vehicular traffic was not allowed on M-4 from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad. 

Besides this, M-2 was closed from Lahore to Sheikhupura and M-11 was shut from Lahore to Sialkot. 

Weather to remain cold and dry 

According to Metrological Department report, the weather on Friday will remain cold and dry in most parts of the country, while it will be very cold in the upper regions and northern Balochistan. 

Heavy fog will continue in plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Upper Sindh. There is a possibility of fog in Potohar region in the morning hours. 

In upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, it is expected to remain partly cloudy with light rain and snowfall.

The weather in the last 24 hours was cold and dry in most parts of the country, while it was very cold in the upper regions and North Baluchistan. The plains of Punjab remained under heavy fog.

Minimum temperature recorded today: Leh minus 15, Skardu minus 14, Astor minus 11, Gops minus 10, Hunza, Kalat minus 09, Kalam minus 08, Ziarat, Gilgit minus 07, Bagrot, Parachinar minus 06, Quetta, Rawalkot and Dir. 04 degrees Celsius was recorded.
