Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman joins PSL following IPL exit

Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman has officially registered to participate in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), following his controversial exit from the Indian Premier League (IPL), 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.

A few days ago, Kolkata Knight Riders, a franchise owned by Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, removed Mustafizur from their IPL squad under instructions from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Reports suggest the decision was influenced by threats from political leaders of India’s BJP, who allegedly pressured the BCCI over his inclusion.

Mustafizur Rahman, who has previously represented Lahore Qalandars in the PSL, expressed relief at being able to continue his professional career in a competitive environment.

Cricket analysts note that his addition is a major boost for PSL franchises, given his experience in T20 cricket and proven bowling skills.
