Punjab to establish six biogas plants to boost clean energy
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the establishment of six biogas plants to boost clean energy in the province, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Presiding over a meeting in Lahore today, she said four biogas plants will be established in Lahore and two in Faisalabad. The meeting also approved a feasibility study for a multi-fuel bio-refinery.
The Chief Minister also directed the authorities to ensure the early completion of Waste-to-Energy project.
The biogas plants will provide affordable gas for domestic use, while also producing bio-fertilizer for agricultural purposes.
