China's peaceful rise as global powerhouse shows dedication of CPC: Shehbaz

PMLN President and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif Tuesday said that China's peaceful rise as the world second largest economy and a paramount global power owes itself to the vision and dedication of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Speaking at the ‘CCP and World Political Parties' virtual Summit, Shehbaz said it was a matter of great pleasure and personal privilege to speak at the CPC summit.

He expressed gratitude to the international department of the Communist Party of China for extending the invitation to the PMLN President and senior party leaders on the historic anniversary. He said this gesture speaks volumes about the excellent relationship that CPC and PML-N continue to enjoy at a party-to-party level for the last few decades.

He said over the past few years the two parties have collaborated very closely at different levels and have provided a strong underpinning to the China Pakistan bilateral relationship. He said that the theme for the summit ' People's Wellbeing the Responsibilities of Political Parties’ was most apt and relevant to the realities of contemporary times.

He said the CPC had indeed led from the front in promoting the cause of Wellbeing of the Chinese people as well as the international community. The CPC and China were two sides of the same coin and it was nearly impossible to distinguish between them, he said.

Shehbaz said the story of China is the story of the Chinese Communist Party, the story of epic success achieved not merely through chance but through dogged resolve and masterful planning. He said he first learnt about the CPC when he was a young schoolboy and was fascinated with pictures of little children holding a red book.
