Bad news for audience of upcoming Lafangey

July 6, 2022 06:54 PM

A Pakistani movie which was to be released on Eid-ul-Adha casting Sami Khan, Behroz Sabzwari, Nazaish Jahangir and other stars is facing some major issues as a ban by the Board of Film Censors has been imposed.

The direction of Abdull Khaliq Khan is a horror-comedy by genre and revolved around the story of 4 bachelors who are trying to chase very big dreams of theirs. Sami Khan plays the role of the leader of the group and the characters of the other 3 are played by Mani, Saleem Miraj and Mubeen Gabool.

The bachelors are shown moving into a house which is seemingly haunted but instead of running from there, they decide to stay there and fight the evil spirits in there.

The main reason behind the ban is that very dark humour, double meaning dialogues, vulgarity and sexual symbolism can be seen only in the trailer and the movie is yet to be released.

This has been seen earlier also in Pakistani Movies but “Lafangey” took it to the next level because of which the Chairman of film censor boards said that it is not at all to be displayed.

Moreover, he said that “Pornographic and vulgar dialogues and actions are strictly against the values of Pakistan therefore this film cannot be allowed to be shown.

The chairman of censor boards said that the crew of Lafangey has the right to appeal in the film boards. The director says that the board could have added a beep as a censor at the points where there is a controversial dialogue, they could have also simply removed them

The producer says that it was his first time ever as a producer and he had planned to invest in more movies in the near future but his dreams and plans have all been thrown down the drain.

The whole crew including the actors, the director and producer are very sad.
