Court sends suspect in Group Captain Asim Tariq murder case to jail for identification parade

An anti-terrorism court on Monday sent the suspect arrested in the murder case of Group Captain Asim Tariq to jail for an identification parade.

Police produced the suspect before Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Abu Al-Hasanat Zulqarnain.

The court ordered that the suspect be placed on a 14-day judicial remand to complete the identification parade process.

The court also directed authorities to submit a report after the identification parade is completed.

Police said the suspect was transferred to jail in accordance with the prevailing legal procedure for an identification parade.

Further proceedings in the case will be held after the report is submitted to the court.
