Veteran Pakistani actress, television host, and motivational speaker Hina Khawaja Bayat has touched hearts with a deeply emotional reflection on grief, resilience, and the life changing lesson her late mother taught her about living with gratitude through even the darkest times.

During her latest media appearance, a video clip that has since gone viral captured the celebrated actress opening up about the profound losses she has endured and the wisdom that ultimately helped her move forward.

Recalling one of the most difficult chapters of her life, Hina shared that by the time she lost her husband, she had already experienced the heartbreaking loss of both her parents as well as her in-laws.

"When I lost my husband, my father was gone, my mother was gone, and my in-laws were gone. It was then that I truly understood what my mother had once told me: 'Live your life with gratitude.'" She described gratitude as the greatest piece of advice she could offer anyone facing pain or hardship.

Reflecting on her father's funeral, Hina recalled a conversation with her mother that stayed with her for decades. After asking whether she had eaten, her mother encouraged her to have a meal with her. Shocked by the suggestion during such a painful moment, Hina questioned how anyone could think about food while mourning.

Her mother then gently explained: "The life Allah has written for you must still be lived, and you must learn to live it with gratitude."

Hina admitted that it was only nearly 20 years later, after losing her husband, that she fully grasped the depth of her mother's words.

She noted that her mother had never told her to live with courage, bravery, or even patience. Instead, she had chosen a far more meaningful lesson. "She didn't say live with courage or with patience. She said live with gratitude. Life teaches you, but only if you keep your heart and mind open to receive what Allah is sending your way."
