Slight uptick in Covid cases as Pakistan records 59 infections
Pakistan has got a slight uptick in the coronavirus cases as it logged another 59 Covid infections and no death during the last 24 hours with the positivity ratio staying at 0.41%, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
As per the latest statistics provided by the Pakistan National Iinstitute of Health on Monday, the death toll remained the same at 30,379, whereas the number of total infections now stood at 1,530,762 after adding the fresh 59 cases.
During the last 24 hours (Monday), 14,562 tests were conducted throughout Pakistan whereas the positivity ratio stood at 0.41 percent. The number of patients in critical care was recorded at 61.

The province-wise breakdown of Covid cases remains as: Sindh has got 577,603 cases; Punjab 507,236; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 219,697; Islamabad 135,429; Azad Jammu and Kashmir 43,340; Balochistan 35,501 and in Gilgit-Baltistan the total number of Covid cases is 11,750.
