Cousin throws acid at girl for possessing cellphone in Ghotki

Possessing a cellphone became a crime for a 17-year-old girl in a suburban area of Ghotki as her cousin threw acid at her due to which her eyes, an arm and other parts of her body were completely burnt, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to the victim girl’s family, Miandad Mehr forced his entry into their home situated in Kundo Mehr village, threw acid at Sharman Mehr and fled.

The family said that Miandad had an objection to Sharman possessing a cellphone.

They said that they had even gone to Miandad’s home to complain against him, but his family did not take notice of it.

Following the incident, the victim, along with her parents, shifted to her relatives’ home.

Her family has demanded the immediate arrest of the culprit and the provision of justice.
