The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Karachi and law enforcement agencies gunned down MQM-London target killer ‘Ganja’ in a shootout, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to CTD officials, an accomplice of the accused fled away from the scene.
The target killer was identified as Azam alias Ganja and he was a key member of the MQM-London's Junaid Bulldog team.
Accused Azam carried out killings from 2012 to 2013 on the orders of the leadership, the CTD officials said.
Earlier, an MQM-London activist, caught by a special anti-terror squad, reportedly made startling revelations about an anti-Pakistan protest outside the European Parliament and attacks in Karachi.
Wahid Hussain told the investigators that Arif of MQM-L organised the anti-Pakistan protest outside the European Parliament.
Another party man named Saleem backed Arif, the arrested activist said, adding that Saleem was a target killer and had links with an Indian businessman from New Delhi, Sanjay who was financing terror activities in Karachi.
