No-trust motion to be tabled on March 8 or 9: Khursheed
Says opposition will table no-confidence moves against NA speaker and PM Imran Khan
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) central leader Khursheed Ahmed Shah Sunday said that the opposition’s ‘counting’ was complete and the no-confidence motion would be tabled in the Parliament on March 8 or 9, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The PPP leader said that Imran Khan would have to go if the state was to be saved, adding that attempts would be made to keep the ‘umpire’ neutral.
“The opposition will table the no-confidence motion against the National Assembly speaker on March 8 or 9. There will also be a no-confidence motion against Imran Khan,” he stated.
On the other hand, PPP Senator Sherry Rehman said that the party’s long march was proving to be a game changer. “People of Lahore will show their distrust in the prime minister today,” she maintained.
