Attempts to blow up bridge, police station foiled in Bannu

Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) personnel on Friday thwarted two major terror plots in Bannu and defused two bombs and explosive material that were planted at separate locations in Bannu, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, one bomb was planted under Miranshah Bridge in the jurisdiction of Baka Khel Police Station.

The BDS further revealed that 140 kilograms of explosive material were planted in two drums. 

The second bomb was defused at the main gate of Lakki Police Station. Ten kilograms of explosive material and ball bearings were planted alongwith the bomb.

Three kids injured in Khyber firing

Three children became critically injured during a firing incident between two groups in Nogazi Baba area of Khyber Bara.

The firing incident occurred due to an old land dispute. Soon after receiving the report, the police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured children to Hayatabad Medical Complex.

District Police Officer (DPO) took notice of the firing incident and directed relevant officials to take measures to bring the situation under control.
