Britney Spears’ family reach out after shocking DUI arrest

Britney Spears is receiving support from her family after her recent DUI arrest in California, with her mother and two sons reportedly reaching out to check on the pop star following the troubling incident.

According to reports, Britney Spears was contacted by her mother Lynne Spears shortly after news broke of the singer’s arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Sources claim Lynne called the pop star soon after learning about the incident to offer support and reassurance.

The singer, 44, was reportedly released from custody hours after being detained by the California Highway Patrol following a traffic stop on a California highway.

Family insiders also revealed that Spears later spoke with her two sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19,  whom she shares with former husband Kevin Federline.

The brothers currently live in Hawaii with their father but are said to remain in contact with their mother.

Sources described the phone conversation between Britney and Lynne as positive and hopeful, despite the pair’s complicated history.

Their relationship has been strained in the past, particularly during the years surrounding Spears’ controversial conservatorship, which ended in 2021.

However, insiders say the mother-daughter relationship has improved in recent years, with the two occasionally speaking on the phone and attempting to rebuild their bond.

Authorities allege Spears showed signs of impairment when officers stopped her vehicle after receiving reports of a car driving erratically on a highway near Newbury Park.

She was subjected to field sobriety tests before being taken into custody. Police say chemical test results are still pending as the investigation continues.

Spears, who has faced public personal struggles for years, is expected to appear in court regarding the incident on May 4.
